Replayable vs experience games

My preference for RPGs is a pure focus on experience with no attempt to make the game replayable. In my experience the key decision points put into RPGs are not sufficient to make the replay experience sufficiently different as to be enjoyable. Combined with the fact that I want to experience everything in a game, means that linear storylines are appropriate.

By contrast, for a turn based strategy, replayability (as provided by procedural generation) is very important.
