New Case Management System Announcement - Lucas County General Division

We are sharing with you an announcement from the Lucas County Common Pleas, General Division, regarding conversion to a new case management system in May 2024.

The Lucas County Common Pleas Court, General Division, will be converting to a new case management system in May. This change will impact all filers and participants that interact with the General Division.

Timeline:

- The Lucas County Clerk of Courts Office E-Filing system will be off-line starting May 24, 2024, at 5:00 PM. It is anticipated that the system will be online on June 1, 2024, at 9:00 AM. If the system becomes available sooner notification will be sent to e-filers through EFileOH.

- The Lucas County Clerk of Courts Office will continue to accept paper filings. Entries with the exception of financials will continue to be made on cases until May 29, 2024, at 5:00 PM. Please note that the Lucas County Clerk of Courts Office will be using paper receipts on May 28, 2024, through May 30, 2024. If you are provided a paper receipt, your payment will be added to your case as soon as possible starting on May 31, 2024. The new system will reflect payment made on the date of entry with a notation of the actual payment date.

- The Lucas County Clerk of Courts Office and the Common Pleas Court will be closed to the public on Friday, May 31, 2024.

- The Lucas County Common Pleas Court portion of the system will go off-line May 29, 2024, at 5:00 PM. The Court will continue to operate on paper until May 31, 2024. Cases will be updated once the new system is online.

- The Lucas County Clerk of Courts Office will have a new online docket for General Division case information. The Clerk’s web page will be updated on June 3, 2024 to allow for searching of the new system.
