The EIP program is a State Funded Remedial Program for students who are performing below expectations in the regular education program. The principal, along with the Lead EIP Teacher will ensure that all State Guidelines are followed. Kimberly implements the Self-Contained and Push-In Models of EIP Support.
The following are some reminders:
All parents of EIP students must be invited for a conference early in the school year and prior to the end of the midterm report for the first nine-weeks.
A second conference with parents of EIP students must be held prior to the end of the school year.
All parents must be given a 10-day notice for the conference; document the date the notification was sent.
At the conference, the teacher must explain the purpose of EIP
EIP students must be invited to attend the conference with their parents and must be provided an opportunity for input.
Keep the Parent-Teacher Conference Record on file in the Student Information Folder.
Kindergarten - Third Grade Students must have on file in the Student Information Folder an EIP Checklist which will indicate whether or not the child qualifies for EIP.
Fourth – Fifth Grade students will qualify based on Beginning Level EOG/GMAS scores in Math or Reading.
3% of students in grades 4 – 5 may qualify based on checklist.
All new students entering after the start of the year must have a checklist until their records come from another Georgia School.
