The school administration is fully aware of the need to make copies of various instructional materials to support the state curriculum. It is important that teachers take into account the need for authentic learning that isn't driven by copies. Copies should be made outside of Instructional Time. Much of your planning time will be filled with school led planning, so copies may have to be made before or after school.
The copy machine in the office is for office use only. Only regular copy paper is to be used in all machines. The copy machines for general use are located in the Media Center. The copy machines should never be used for personal use. All staff members will be given 2 cases of paper per year given at the start of each semester. Limited additional copy paper will be provided for teachers with permission of principal only. The school will supply additional paper only for District/School mandated assessments (i.e. Benchmarks, GKIDS, and MAP Documents); Team Leaders should request this paper or seek support from the Instructional Coach(es).
Access to the copy machine in the Front Office is granted by entering your Lawson ID number only. Copy Codes have been removed from Media Center copiers.
Please be sure to monitor your paper usage and your classroom printer usage. Classroom printers should not be used as copy machines. You will run out of toner and overuse the drum causing your printing capabilities to be limited or eliminated.
You can now manage all your printer and ink/toner needs in simple do-it-yourself steps. Easily address any printer or ink/toner questions through the Printers and Ink webpage on MyAPS or through the Nimbus support system at www.atlantapublicschools.us/support. Download the convenient Simple Steps to Success 1-sheet for your files.
