Regular school attendance is required by law for all children between the ages of seven and sixteen. Regular attendance means actual attendance of a pupil during the entire school day. Students are considered tardy after 7:45a.m. and must sign in at the office (by a parent) before going to their classroom. A student is counted present for the day if they arrive before 11:15a.m..
Excessive unexcused absences (5 or more or 3 consecutive) must be reported to the school social worker.
Students are considered Tardy if they arrive after the 7:45am bell has rung or they leave school early. Both will be documented in Infinite Campus.
Homeroom Teachers are expected to take accurate attendance daily in Infinite Campus in the AM by 8:00am and again after lunch by 1:00pm. This double checking ensures that is a student arrives in your room after you have taken attendance in the morning, they will be counted present before the end of the day. Our CCRPI score is negatively impacted by incorrect/inaccurate attendance procedures.
