Arrival/Dismissal Procedures

Upon arrival to school, all students will go directly to their classroom except the grade level that has Collegial Planning (Tue - Gr K/1; Thu - Gr 2/3; Fri - Gr 4/5).  Those grade-level students will go directly to the cafeteria and eat breakfast there.   Assigned personnel will monitor those students to ensure order and safety.  Students eating in the Cafe will be dismissed by the Specials Teachers at 7:45am.

At 7:15am, teachers who are not on duty in the cafeteria or other locations will be awaiting their students at their classroom doors, ready to greet them.  NO STUDENTS SHOULD SIT IN THE HALLWAY. 

If it is noticed that a teacher isn't present at their doorway/classroom, a teacher on that grade level will step up to support their colleague and supervise those students until the teacher arrives.  Notification should be sent to the front office that there is a breach of supervision.

Teachers are responsible for monitoring the hallways at all transition periods (AM, between classes, and PM).  Teachers MUST be at their classroom doors in the morning from 7:15am - 7:30am.  Students are tardy if they are not present in your room by the 7:45am bell and the conclusion of morning announcements.  Teachers report to work by 7:10am or are considered tardy.
