Samuel Hercules FIELDER

K I Connection: Leaseholder Hawkes Nest until 1921

Harold SEAGER M.C., V.D..  He and his brother went to KI in 1924 and had a pastoral lease at Hawke’s Nest, Hn of MacGillivray.  He married Joyce Debenham TEARNE in 1925 and she moved to KI.  Their old house is now derelict and Hawke’s Nest is now owned by Geoff and Pat Brooksby.  Seagers Road is nearby. Previous leaseholder was 2631 Samuel Hercules Leopold FIELDER 18/3rd  Light Horse.  He was found dead on the property on 25 January 1921 and after being buried at Kingscote Cemetery his body was exhumed for an inquest.
