THE SUPREME SACRIFICE.
Residents will regret that recent casualty lists include the names of Ptes. J. Gleeson and F. Thalbain [sic], who have made the supreme sacrifice in defence of their country in France. Both are well-known in this district, the former residing some months in Kingscote where he was in the employ of Mr W. O. Baumann, while the latter was connected with the gumming industry here previous to enlisting.
