KI Connection

Kangaroo Island Courier (Kingscote, SA : 1907 - 1951), Saturday 28 November 1908, page 4 Island, Land Sales. We understand that Mr Martin Chirgwin, has disposed of his Smith's Bay property to Mr Jacka, of Owen, at a satisfactory figure. We have also been informed that Mr Norman Brenand has sold his country. Neither of the above residents, however, have any intention of leaving the Island.

Kangaroo Island Courier (Kingscote, SA : 1907 - 1951), Saturday 13 February 1909, page 4. A New Arrival. One of the latest settlers in this part of the world is Mr A. Jacka who arrived here on Wednesday week last, having purchased from Mr M. Chirgwin his property at Smith's Bay Mr Jacka seems well pleased with K.I. in general. He brought with him a fine team of horses and ev dently intends to waste no time in proving the worth of his newly ac quired property. We wish Mr Jacka prosperity in his enterprise.
