Faba beans planting area has doubled in five years, 2015 – 2016 faba beans = 330,000 tonnes
UN food and Agriculture Organization demand 500,000 tonnes for Faba Beans, Australia is providing ~ 70% world’s requirements
Q3] Have you a had the traditional Egyptian Faba ~ Fuul Medames for breakfast yet ?
Egypt is the world’s largest importer of Faba Beans [ Fuul ],
Annual requirement of 480,000 ~ 520,000 tonnes 31/Jul 2014
Australia exports 70% of it’s total Faba Beans market to Egypt
