Jerry Guirguis interviews Mr Farshid Akhlaghi, Film Director, talking about his latest documentary
[ From Music into Silence– a documentary about Australia’s Only Music-Thanatologist Peter Roberts the Harpist ], our guest, Farshid will be in our studio - 96.5FM – Egyptian radio show [ Monday 7th December 2015, Melbourne 6:15pm Australia, English edition ].
6:15pm – Our 1st special guest tonight is Farshid Akhlaghi;
Farshid was born in 1981, he started his career as a Short film director when he was only fifteen years old.
He took part as the youngest director in the 12th International Children and Youth Film Festival 1996.
Since 1998, he has edited over 20 short films. He graduated in M.A. of Dramatic Arts in 2005. He taught Film Editing in I.Y.C.S, from 2005 to 2010.
“For Sale” is another short film which was directed and shot on location in France, 2011.
He directed 11 short films and documentaries and attended variety of national and international festivals around the world.
He won Best Short Film for “Blind Owl Wedding Hall” in the most prestigious Iranian Film Festival – Fajr Film Festival award.
In 2012 he moved to Australia to continue his education and make films in a new area.
In 2013 he was a jury member of Short Soup Film Festival in Sydney.
In 2014-2015 he made a documentary feature film “The Drowned Dreams” in Australia and Indonesia.
