Washington Post โ May 2010 -- Tina Fey to receive Kennedy Center's Mark Twain Prize for American Humor
The Kennedy Center announced Tuesday that the comedian will receive this year's Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. . . Her portrayal of Sarah Palin during the 2008 presidential campaign pulled Fey back into the "SNL" fold and earned her an Emmy.
Precious Darling Tina Fey
She leaped from funny girl to precious Darling of the Left --
She did it via smirking ridicule
She bravely took it on her witty oh so righteous self . . .
To slander Sarah Palin as a clueless, pretty fool
Tina simply could not mask her out and out contempt
For all those phony feminists --- those salts of mother earth
Who didnโt see abortion as a boon to womankind . . .
Who couldnโt grasp how very much a dead fetus was worth
So deep within her clever heart she grew an ugly smug
With which to sneer at those who would not toe progressive lines
And thus she was anointed "Precious Darling of the Left" . . .
For spreading dogma -- hidden in -- funny valentines
