Got Back In Love

Got Back In Love

One time in Fort Worth she threw me over

Hung me out like laundry, high and dry

Left this note talking about her freedom,

How she’d spread her wings and start to fly

But then she hit this streak of major assholes

And then her bank account got over-checked

And then she heard that I had hit the big time

And I was looking great in retrospect

She got clued in, wised up

It was practical epiphany

She got back in love with me

She learned that she don’t love life without me

And so consequently she has put

Lots of effort into understanding

How my shoe feels when it’s on her foot

And every day she loves to go out shopping

She’s got this thing for designer clothes

And every time those charges get accepted

Her undying love just overflows

She got set straight, got smart

She started dealing with reality

She got back in love with me

Maybe what she feels for me will last forever

Or maybe just as long as my finances toe the bottom line

She got wised up, clued in

It was a virtual epiphany

She got back in love with me
