KAVIVARYA BAKIBAB BORKAR SMRUTI PRATISHTHAN’S COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTRE AT BORIM, GOA
OBJECTIVES
To establish and maintain a Community Learning Centre at Borim in Late Shri B.B.Borkar’s house at Borim.
"Shantiniketan" Bakibab's house in Borim, Goa
To publish, promote and distribute all literature of Late Shri B.B. Borkar in all major languages in the world.
The Community Learning Centre to archive, maintain and display literature and personal belongings of the poet.
The Community Learning Centre to have a well maintained Library and Reading hall for members, scholars and students of Marathi and Konkani literature.
The Community Learning Centre shall be a platform to conduct seminars and workshops on literature.
ACTIONS
Formation of a Prathisthan with prominent citizens having respect for B.B. Borkar’s literature.
Prathishtan members to organize permission for converting the house into a B.B.Borkar Learning Centre.
Prathishtan members shall collect funds as per financial outlay prepared for the conversion of the old house at Borim to the Learning Centre.
Prathishtan shall be responsible for maintenance and operation of the Learning Centre.
Prathishtan shall provide a living quarter in the area for the Manager of the Learning Centre.
A museum, counter for sale for B.B.Borkar’s literature, Audio-Visual Centre, mini auditorium as a workshop/seminar facility, Reading hall and Library of Konkani and Marathi literature shall be basic facilities to be developed.
Installation of a B.B.Borkar’s statue at the entry of the Centre.
