Day one of Unit:

PART ONE:

Use the storyboard link and read about John's adventure at the zoo. Finish the last 3 storyboard panels (last 3 shots) using this formula to make a happy ending:

  1. SHOT1: John has an insight or ingenuity
  2. SHOT2: John manages to work out the issues
  3. Shot3: All is right in John's world

PART TWO:

Use the script outline to develop your own story, with one main character. Use the script link to begin.

Day two of Unit:

  1. Team up with your group members.
  2. Share your scripted stories
  3. Team members will vote on which story they would like to film
  4. Each group member will use the storyboard link (STORYBOARD) to create a storyboard of this story. Group members will need to follow the specific shots listed.
  5. Turn the storyboards in for a grade

Day three of Unit:

PART ONE:

  1. The group will choose a storyboard to follow for filming or compile a new storyboard assembled from all of the ideas.
  2. Group will complete final storyboard for group
  3. Use this link: FINAL STORYBOARD

PART TWO:

  1. After creating the FINAL story board and show it to Mrs. Hodas for teacher approval
  2. Film with group ---> follow your storyboard exactly!
    • Be aware of your camera shots
    • Don't cut off JOINTS (remember psychological closure)
