Everyday, you will be introduced to a typography "tid-bit"-

1. Tracking
   1. Adjusting Space Between Letters
   2. Highlight then use left or right arrow
   3. NEVER ever, use tracking on Script
      1. ASSIGNMENT: + tracking & - tracking
2. Kerning
   1. Adjusting Space between 2 letters
   2. Place curser with T tool, then use left or right arrow
      1. ASSIGNMENT: Kerning
3. Leading
   1. Adjusting Space between lines of text
   2. Highlight and use up or down arrow
      1. ASSIGNMENT: Adjust leading on Script document (invitation)
4. Justification
   1. Aligning body text to the left, right, center or forced to left and right
   2. Highlight then use Paragraph Panel
   3. Medical Journals = force justification, Casual conversation = left justification, FORMAL invitations= center justification
      1. ASSIGNMENT:Justify a document page
5. En Dash, Em dash, hyphens
   1. Using proper dashes
   2. - dash/hyphen should be used only between a hyphenated word (just type -)
   3. – en dash, should be used between periods of time June–July (type option -)
   4. — em dash, should be used when a comma or period is not appropriate (type shift, option -)
      1. ASSIGNMENT:en-em-general hyphen
6. No script in all caps
   1. Never EVER use ALL CAPS when using a SCRIPT font
7. Mixing Fonts
   1. When mixing 2 fonts (for beginner typographers) use a SERIF paired with a SAN SERIF
      1. VERSION 1 ASSIGNMENT: SERIF HEADLINE WITH SAN SERIF SUB-LINE (TRACK + SUB-LINE)
      2. VERSION 2 ASSIGNMENT: SAN SERIF HEADLINE WITH SERIF SUB-LINE (TRACK + SUB-LINE)
