- 1 person
- No more than one person per shot
- Use the SAME model throughout the photoshoot
- Your model should be a willing participant who will
- Listen to direction for posing for at least an hour
- Be able to sit, stand, twist, bend, lean into position
- Dress for the photo shoot

- Groom (hair, nails, etc.)
- Eyes must be visible
- place focus point on eyes
- half iris, half white (instead of iris in the middle with white on both sides)
- Follow Posing Guidelines

- twist/lean/arch
- weight on BACK leg
- arms placed at different heights
- If it BENDS, bend it
- pose about 12 feet from background
- Follow Composition Guidelines
- Rule of Thirds
- No Clutter
- Blur Background
- Watch Background
- Place focus point on EYES
- Camera Set Up
- Use portrait mode, or a large aperture (small f#)
- Zoom in, move your body back
- Use a reflector (avoid shark eyes)
- Flash turned off
- DSLR users: Use an off camera flash if possible
- Location

- open shade areas
- Keep your back to the sun
- Don't place the subject in direct sunlight (causing squinting)
- 25-*30 portraits
