Extra Credit

1. Review a show:

Attend a play or other LIVE performance. Within a week of the performance, hand in a minimum one paragraph response to each of at least FOUR of the following questions. Your review must be at least four paragraphs, amounting to more than one page, typed, double-spaced, 12-point Times font.

1. What was your overall feeling about the production, and where did that feeling come from?

2. What was the CONFLICT that the story focused on, and how did you feel about its resolution?

3. What was the best (or most fascinating or exciting or funny or joyful or sad) moment of the performance for you, and why?

4. How did you feel about the set, props, costumes, lighting design, or any other technical aspects of the performance, and how did some particular technical choice make the show better or worse?

5. Choose one or two performers that made a strong impression on you. What was powerful about these performances? Focus on particular moments you remember.

6. What choices would have made this production even better?

7. How did this performance compare to the images you had from any previous contact with this script, or other expectations you had built?

8. What deep ideas did the play make you think about? Did you have any cool conversations about the performance afterwards? Where do these thoughts lead you?

2. Learn to juggle:

Show me that your are acquiring new skills. When you can do five rounds without dropping, show me. 10 points.

Two more points for each of the following new skills, to a limit of 10 more points... You have to demonstrate both sides, 2x each, in one turn.

(5 bonus points for showing me all these skills in one routine!)
