Sareera Tatva Sangraham

Sareera Tatva Sangraham was first published in the journal Sadguru (1:4) edited by Thachudaiya Kaimal from Irinjalkkuda, in Trichur. Even though it is an independent work most of the editions of Advaitha Chintha Paddathi includes it also. The book deals with Dravidian concepts and practices related to cleanliness. They believed that cleanliness was godly. They were very particular in keeping the roads, drainage canals and surroundings of homes clean. The facilities seen at the Indus cities like the public bath, drainage system etc can reveal the Dravidian’s sense of hygiene from very ancient times. They gave much importance for internal and external cleanliness. Swami wanted people to follow such an attitude. It was with this intention that he wrote Sareera Tatva Sangraham. In this book, which has great depth, Swami explains that only in a clean body a pure mind will reside. The body, which has form and constitutes pancha bhoothas is responsible for the existence of prapancha. He discusses the western medical concepts which limit things within the ;hysical body draws our attemntion to relation of the mind. The book deals with the need to care our environment. The book is a blending of the thoughts on relation of environment, health, hygiene and spirituality.
