Nijananda Vilasam

Nijananda Vilasam is Swami’s independent rendering into Malayalam of the Vedanta treatise of the great great guru from Tamil Nadu Kodakanallur Brahmasree Sundara Swamikal. He was an expert on Vedas and all the sastras. He was against the caste system and was to Swami a friend and a teacher. The first one to translate it into Malayalam was Swami. The book was first published in 1980 by Narayana Gurukulam, Varkala. In 2008 A detailed commentry on the book by Nitya Chitany Yathi also ws published by Gurukulam. Through the chapters; Avasththraya Sodhana Sampradayam, Gunadikya janyaropasukshma Nirupanam, Brhamajeeva Jagadvisesana Nirupanam, Sadanubhava Nirupanam, Chidanubhava Nirupanam, Anandhanubhava Nirupanam, Manonasa Marga Nirupanam, and Avarana Vikshepa Vrithi, the work retolds the secrets contained in Upanishads. When the seeker of knowledge understands the meaning of each word contained in this work and proceeds further he will experience the Supreme Bliss. It is a great work on Vedanta from one who has acquired through experience the deep knowledge of the secrets of Vedanta and Siddantha.

In its introduction Nithya Chaithanya Yathi states that Nijananda Vilasam is not only a historical record, it is knowledge of the divine emanating from rishi like Vyasa to whom it was clear through experience; which can give spiritual up liftment to all eligible seekers. A great sage, a free and fully elevated soul, with love and kindness explains the Paramartha, which was mad very clear to him by his great master Kodakanallur RamaswamiSastrikal, for the benefits of the seekers of truth. Each and every word in the book is transparent like the glass and unusually bright like the Chinthamani stone. By understanding the content of this single work avidya will be removed and one will know the paramartha as in the daylight.
