Goal Setting Minute
All productivity and motivation research points to a few simple ideas:
Clearly define and publicly announce simple, precise and achievable goals to be completed in a specific time.
Avoid resistance and distraction.
Points will be awarded daily during project work for independent goal setting, followed by constant success or failure of goals. Failing fast, learning from it, and adjusting new goals is often the best way to succeed.
Criteria for success:
Use the Goal setting spreadsheet daily.
As soon as you enter the studio.
Example:
1-1-12:
Find 3 sound effects
record 3 sound effects
audition songs or make a song
make an opening title in Motion
make rolling credits in FCP
Vague or large goals can lead to distraction. Specific and achievable goals will spark motivation and productivity.
Browse the following and copy and paste at least one quote from each to your goal document.
