Radio Commercial

Objective:

Produce a 30 second radio commercial that advertises the Apple iPad to your assigned demographic using at least 3 advertising techniques.

You will be advertising to a specific demographic.

1. Age 5 and under (Toddler)

2. Age 5-12 (Child)

3. Age 12-18 Male

4. Age 12-18 Female

5. Age 19-25

6. Age 26-50 Male

7. Age 26-50 Female

8. Age 50-older

9. Buisness People

10. Educators/Teachers

You will be responsible for submitting the following:

Client Interview (50 Points)

25 Ideas Brainstorming (25 points)

2 Column Script (50 Points)

Final Commercial MP3 File (100 Points)

Feedback Comments (50 Points)

Criteria for Success

A two column script has direction in the left column (ex. Announcer reads in a deep voice, crashing sounds in the background, music begins at 15 seconds, ect...) and the script (also called "copy") written in the right column. The columns should match up side by side chronologically. (See attached for exemplar)

The final commercial MP3 file will be exactly 30 seconds long with a voiceover, at least 2 sound effects (at least one original sound that you record and design yourself) and at least 1 music file. The voiceover should be "performed" in the best style and diction possible. All audio levels will be "mixed" so that the appropriate sounds can be heard at all times, then "mastered" with a compressor and limiter- so the overall level is close to 0 dB (broadcast level) but never goes over (which would result in clipping or distortion). 

Each group member is responsible for completing feedback for each classmates production.  Feedback should be descriptive, positive and helpful.
