Person On the Street

You will be able to…

Pre-Prodction/Planning Tasks:

• Read and discuss the “Man on the street” interview techniques, take shared class notes.

• Develop a question or concept for teacher approval.

Production/Media Collection Tasks:

• Film selfie style with a cellphone, gopro or other camera.

• Set up a Rode Go wireless mic or DJI wireless mic system

Post Production Tasks

• Transfer the footage to your Google Drive or use a cellphone cable and “Final Cut Pro” to transfer to the “Library” on the iMac Lacie Drive.

• Create a “Library” in FCPX on the Lacie Drive.

• Create an “Event” in FCPX.

• Import audio and video.

• Log the footage with I, O, and F keys.

• Put footage on the timeline with the Q,W,E Keys.

• Question featured once at the beginning.

  • Could be repeated if it helps or there’s an interesting interaction between people you want featured.

• Edit to 1-2 minutes.  Must be under 2.

• Audio Master

• Color correction

• Add music and mix with dialog.

• Get approval, then export

• Add to drive then to new google site page.

• Turn in to Google classroom public, published Google Site link.
