Setting Up Nikon Canon R8
Camera ON switch
MODE wheel check- first project we’ll shoot aperture priority (A)
Check ISO- set to Auto
Check lens, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, 16mm
Check card- enough storage space?
Check Exposure compensation. Set it to 0.
Check Image Quality-Q-Menu>Image Quality- CRAW
Set Iris to most open- F1.8-2
Shutter is Auto
Find Light.
Half hold shutter button to focus/set exposure (shutter speed will be changing depending on where the red dot is)
Full press to take the picture.
Set Iris to closed- F10-29- Take another photo
Go to play button, hit info button til you have the image data, note your F#, shutter speed (fraction), ISO
Now set ISO to 100, try F1.8-2 photo.
Next try F10-22, what happens? Keep increasing ISO until you get good exposure. Do you see noise in the darks/greys with higher ISO?
