Fix your portfolio.

All work is submitted to youtube/blogger.  Some youtube accounts were suspended because we uploaded too many videos at the same time to their servers.

If you replied to their "contact us" links when prompted, try this:

"I understand the terms of service, but have not violated them.  I uploaded a video from a computer lab at school while other students in my class did at the same time from different computers in the lab. The automated response from youtube revoking my account was an honest mistake inherent to the system.  I would sincerely appreciate the account with my class portfolio to also be reinstated. Thank you for your consideration. "

you may have this reply in your email:

This account was found in Violation of TOU #4 Section H:

http://www.youtube.com/t/terms

"You agree not to use or launch any automated system, including without limitation, "robots," "spiders," or "offline readers,".....

If you get the same email in reply, click the CC (carbon copy) field, add bpistone@lrhsd.org, then copy and paste this:

I understand the terms of service, but have not violated them as stated in the reply below. There was no automated system involved. I uploaded a video from a computer lab at school while other students in my class did at the same time from different computers in the lab. The automated response from youtube revoking my account was an honest mistake inherent to the system. Other people in my class were asked to send an email to request our account to be reinstated, and have been granted their request. I would sincerely appreciate the account with my class portfolio to also be reinstated. Thank you for your consideration.

I've cc'd my teacher who can verify my account of what happened.

Then Mr. Pistone will reply all this:

This is an unfortunate situation, I'm guessing because many students uploaded mothers day project videos at the same time, on different computers in the lab, through the same switch. If someone from YouTube support responds to me, I would sincerely appreciate the opportunity to provide a list of my students accounts to be reinstated. This is the first time that I've had this issue in my classes. Thank you for your consideration.

Then YouTube Replies this (hopefully):

Hi there,

We have re-reviewed the circumstances of your suspension and have concluded it is appropriate to reinstate your account. This means your account is once again active and operational.

If you have forgotten your password, please visit this link to reset it: http://www.youtube.com/account_recovery

Sincerely,

The YouTube Team

See what happens, it took some time to reinstate.

Last, send me an email with a direct link to the blog page with the youtube video embedded.
