Fill the Frame

Take 20 (or more) different images that use the "fill the frame" technique.

Create and add a contact sheet and your best shots to your portfolio.

1. Grab a prime lens, in this order best for close up fill the frame: 100mm EF and RF adapter, 50mm, 85mm, 35mm, 24-50mm, 16mm

2. Camera ON switch

3. MODE wheel check- first project we’ll shoot aperture priority (A)

4. Set Iris (f#) to 1.8 or 1.4 (depends on the lens you have) by scrolling the top right wheel.

5. If problematic, set mode to M- manual. Check ISO- set to 100 if possible, Auto for simplicity, but high ISO is noisy image

6. First time shooting card format it.  Menu>Wrench>Format Memory card

7. Check Exposure compensation. Set it to 0.

8. Check Image Quality- Q Menu>Image Quality- CRAW + JPG Fine

9. Check Diopter if viewfinder is blurry.

10. Shutter is Auto

11. Find Light.

12. Half hold shutter button to focus/set exposure (shutter speed will be changing depending on where the red dot is)

13. Full press to take the picture.

Import images from SD Card to Lightroom Library
