Objective:

Apply lower thirds to your news package and check with Mr. Pistone before final export. Export a nested standard definition sequence locally first to your project folder with the date, then copy to the server. Make the over the shoulder graphic and write your lead line.

Lower Thirds Directions:

Each interview will have their lower third appear once, the first time they are seen on camera.  You should be able to read the text twice.  For teachers, advisors, coaches use "Mr. or Ms. First Last. ex Mr. Brian Pistone.  Use the the LR email system to get proper spelling of each name. CHECK IT TWICE!! SERIOUSLY!!

1. The lower third template folder must be copied from the server (TVTECH/Graphics/NewsPackageThird) to your project folder on the Lacie Drive.  If you haven't already, make a root subfolder (LacieX/YOURNAME) then a subfolder within: LacieX/BRIANPISTONE/1-17-23TopicPistone

2. Open the motion template from there, then save as the name of your field reporter. 

3. Once you replace the name and title, save again.   Remember the title for reporters is "Shawnee Extra" and the title for any other interview should be relating to their role within the topic.

4. Export current settings to the project folder.  

5. Be sure to save (as) the Motion project file for each third in case changes need to be made. Use the the LR email system to get proper spelling of each name. CHECK IT TWICE!! SERIOUSLY!!

6. Export each as a quicktime to your project folder. 

Exporting Directions:

After final approval with Mr. Pistone, export, Quicktime Movie, settings H264 Name as DateLastNamesNewspackTopic.mov locally in your project folder. Copy to TVTECH/ShawneeExtra/23-24/NewsPackages.
