Welcome to your home page for you, your athletes, parents and fans for your 2013 Marion County Track and Field Championships!!!! CHECK THIS PAGE FOR UPDATES. They will be posted here as become available.

Information as of May 3, 2013- rosters and relay assignments are at bottom. Links should be live so just click on the one you wish to peruse. Please check and let us know of anyone missing, etc. Please double check relay and make sure you are there if entered. To the best of reading the forms, all had all relays except one school did not have a girls' 1600 relay.

Marion County Middle School Track and Field Championships

Date: May 11, 2013

Where: West Port High School

Coaches' Meeting: 8:00

Meet Begins: 8:30 with field events

Seed Meeting for sprints: 9:00

Running events: will not start until field events have concluded

Meet Directors: Mr. McPadden, Reggie Rocker

Entry Fee for spectators/parents: $2.00 for adults, $1.00 for students

Concession stand available

Order of events:

Shot put, long jump, high jump

1600 Meters- unlimited

800 Meters- 2 per event

400 Meters

200 Meters

100 Meters

4 x 400 Relay

4 x 200 Relay

4 x 100 Relay

On the running, it will be girls followed by boys.

Process for scoring:

Distance runners and field events will report when event is called with bibs properly attached.

Relays will declare on entry form if that school is participating in specific relays by a simple yes or no.

400, 200, 100= at 9 a.m., coaches will meet at scoring tent and we will seed them right there and put them in computer simultaneously. Coaches, you will be provided with a form to bring to tent with your entries. You will need to enter them by their BIB number.

Entrants:

Emailed via a template through Mr. McPadden to Athletics' Scoring Providers

Two athletes per event; one relay per school

An athlete may do one running, one field, one relay. MAXIMUM of 3 events for one athlete.

Schools may enter one relay.

Templates:

Will be an excel file. You will receive the preliminary form no later than April 15.

You will type in last name, first name, grade for each athlete. You will type in school name once. Instructions will be given when template is sent.

BIBS:

Each athlete will be assigned a bib number and must wear bib with four safety pins on front of shirt, chest high and must be visible for officials to see.

Rosters with bib numbers and lane assignments for relays: will be posted on this page before meet. Scheduled to be posted no later than 7 p.m., Saturday, May 4.

Field Event Flights:

There will be two flights for shot put and long jump.

Each school will have one participant per flight.

High jump will be one continous flight.
