Take Education Seriously

This is a message to whoever in charge of Thailand's education. Over the past two years, two ministers came and left the Ministry of Education. It has created uncertainty and discontinuation in the implementation of policies.

I agree with what the rector of Chulalongkorn university, that is, we should not change the ministry too often -- not three ministers in two years. The latest one, being a lawyer by profession, has been assigned an additional duty, that is, to help support a legal team representing Thailand in the international court of justice. How can this be helpful for Thai education?

It's normal for politics to change and unpredictable. But it's wiser to spare education for the sake of Thailand's future.

It is sad but it seems true that education has not been seriously managed.
