An introduction to work-based, practical skills. Students undertake a two-week placement in a heritage environment. It is the responsibility of the student to organise their own placement, in consultation with the module-co-ordinator.
This option is not available to students who intend to take the HST421 Work Placement module.
By the end of the module, you will be able to:
Have undertaken a two week placement approved by the module coordinator
Completed a risk assessment
Reflected on their learning experiences during the course of their placement
Used their experience to actively enhance their research skills
Assessment type - % of final mark
200 work placement form - 20%
2,500 word essay - 80%
You will complete a two-week placement in a heritage environment, including the completion of a 200 word placement form. Additionally, you will write a 2,500 word essay.
