Artist Statement: For this assignment we had to do a reflective self portrait. Most people when you hear that would be "So like a mirror photo?" I would tell them no. My first idea for this assignment was way different and as I started to think more about what I wanted to do this photo came through my head.

What I did to create this image: I took a photo of my eye with my phone and also the silhouette photo I took with my phone. I layered the silhouette photo on top of my eye and erased most of it except for my actual eye ball. I got very zoomed into the photo to make sure I got it as smooth as I could. I was looking at my pupil and it wasn't as dark as I wanted it to be so I took a photo of just blackness and also layered that onto the photo and erased all except for the pupil, I got it as close to a circle as I possibly could.

One thing I would change about this photo would be the silhouette photo. I wish there was a sun type thing in the photo so I could line it up with my pupil. Also there is a line from a photo I layered and I was trying to get it off but I couldn't and i'm not fully sure why.
