Mysterious Chess

Artist Statement: For this assignment we had to do leading lines. I thought to do something way different. So I was going through old stuff in the basement because I was board and I found a glass chess set.

How I created this image was I put the glass board on a black binder so it would stick out more, then I lied on the ground and focused my camera so it wasn't fully focused on the squares and more of the chess pieces.

What I changed was that I cropped out part of the mirror in the background and also the wood frame. I also turned it to black and white. I couldn't fully choose if I liked the original just cropped or if I like the after look of this image. So here's both.

What I would change about this photo would be to have a more sharp focus then mostly just selective focus, I think it would make the image look better.
