Shady Roads

Artist Statement: For this assignment we had to do a monochromatic color. I didn't fully know what to do so I just chose to do a photo of the road and I made it black and white so it would be different kinds of shades of the color gray. My first image creation was to take a photo of colored pencils and turn the image black and white. I did that first, posted it here and wrote an artist statement. But then I thought that it was to plain so I changed it to this image.

How I created this image was standing out, waiting for the bus, and I was looking down the road and I thought to myself "Hey this could make a pretty decent monochramatic photo if I put it in black and white, so that's what I did.

One thing I would change would be if I actually had my camera with me at the time and not just my phone this photo would've came out so much better than it originally did. Other than that it came out decent with my phone camera.

I added to this project and I made the photo have a type of purple tint on them and that there's light purple in spots and dark purple.
