Help Others Keep a Beat

Artist Statement: For this assignment I had to draw a picture that had to do with organ and tissue donation. I decided to draw a heart and two hands holding it. The message I was trying to show was help others "keep their beat." I chose not to add color because I liked how it looked without any color. But I know I need to make it darker which I will. I used graphite to do this. To make it darker I will use a fine point pen so it's thin and I can also blend into it.

Something I really like about this is how everything came out, the composition is just right. There still is some negative space so that's why I added the heart beat type lines across the drawing. Just to take up more space.
