Nature In a Frame

Artist Statement: For this assignment called Independently Designed I got to choose what I wanted to create. I chose to do something that involved nature. The title is called "Nature In A Frame" because on the corners it reminds me of a frame. I chose to do this because I thought it would be cool. I used blending and I used graphite and a tech pen to do the shading and dots. I chose to do the background all dots because it added a weird look to it. Something I didn't like about this is how the water came out, I thought it was going to look better and I was thinking about adding some color but I wanted the drawing to be all black and white. So I didn't end up adding any color and just left it like this. Something I would change would be the water and how the dots are not even on both sides. If I could get the dots the same kind of shade on both sides I think it would've came out a lot better.
