Linoleum Prints

Artist Statement: For this assignment I had to print a picture, put it on linoleum board and carve into it. After I was done with all my carving I had to roll ink onto it and print it on paper or whatever else I wanted. I chose to do it in black ink and purple on paper. I bought a shirt to print it on as well, I printed on the black but it came out crappy so I then took a paint brush and filled in all the space so it didn't look as bad. Where the heart is I put red there. I had pictures of it but I don't have them anymore.

Something I liked about this project was that I got to pick what I wanted to do, like the image and the colors of ink. Something that I didn't like or was hard for me was making the ink come out flat, no blotchy spots that I needed to fill in. I couldn't get a good enough print where I didn't need to fill any space in. I continued to add ink and trying to do it again but it never came out good enough. One thing I would change would be taking my time, I rushed to do this project because it was late.
