The Past Is Still Here

Artist Statement: For this still life assignment we had to take a photo of something from our ancestors or a friend group, etc... I chose to take a photo of my dads AR-15 and his 67' Chevelle.

I chose to pick these two because old cars and guns have run in my family for a very long time, so I chose to pick them. Mostly because I couldn't really think of anything else. The reason why I turned this black and white was because there were way too many colors that were distracting and that the black and white kind of dialed down the colors and also makes it look more in the past. How movies and photos used to be black and white.

One thing I would change is I really wanted the gun to be in the front of the car but there was no room and also no place to really put it, I had to deal with this.
