Sgraffito Clay Tile

Artist Statement: For this assignment I had to make a clay tile, put a coat over it then carve into it. At first I didn't know what I was going to do and going through the design I still didn't know what I was doing and I didn't know what was going to come next, this is something I struggled with. I wish I focused more on the design though and to make it look and come out better. It's supposed to be water with rocks, trees, mountains, and stars. Looking at it you can't really tell what the water and rocks is. I wish I took more time to do this.
