Following my question: What if objects go upside down? The idea for this artwork is to make a waterfall stream to go up instead of going down. To make this happen I need to make the artwork in 2D. So I drew it on paper. I drew a slanted hill and a cliff to allow the water stream go down. But midway its also going up.
The work is al drawn with oil pastel, this is the only material that I know can smog and create a more 3D effect on realism. For the colors I used, brown for the mountain and a little green on the top to represent grass, blue for the sky with no star. Bright white with a hint of blue tint cause by the reflection of the sky.
I used the elements of balance, abstract by putting the whole scene in frame and using very little and simple color. I used the principle of design of form by making the the art with with attention angled shot, with the stream taking 20% of the space and sky and mountain taking up 40% each. My project evolves from a plain mountain to grass on top to make it more alive and if I wound make another project like this I would make the work bigger with more detail.
