Plaster Hands

This is my plaster hand project. The subject is about a gangsters hand holding a cash bag. I chose to create this specific work because when I created the hand structure, I thought about adding tattoos, and that reminds me of the old times when tattoos is for gangsters, and the money bag is like gangster getting money from some way. For materials, I used the carve tools, water paint, special clay and hot glue.

I used a variety of techniques and methods including shaping. Thinking of ideas to shape a object. While creating this work, I paid close attention to the color tone for the hand. I want it to be my skin tone so I mixed yellow and some pale pink. It turns out very good.

To add interest to my composition, I put my hand with the bag on a small wall, I painted it black so it makes the hand holding bag more popped out. My work shows that can use realistic objects and bend it with imaginary objects to create a new art.
