Covid 19 response 3

This is my respond to the Covid 19s third project, its called Quarantine hair. The subject is a man, middle age, facail hair and hair are all grown out due to not having access to the barber which was closed for business due to the virus. I chose to create this specific work because this is connected to the covid 19 quarantine time and really relates to myself and my hair growth.

For materials, I used color markers and black pen. I used a variety of techniques and methods including: Color blocking and shadow. While creating this work, I paid close attention to the hair with the marker running all over and using the pen to sketch out the out sticking out hairs.

I wanted my artwork to look rough and like an abstract idea so I purposely rough drew it with the mind of thinking that in quarantine he might look off a lil bit due to laziness. To add interest to my composition, I used balance and color blocking by making the object center on the paper and using green for the background and somehow turns to be looking like leaves. However, If I try to remake this art, I would put more virus related themes on it.
