Concentrations #4

My concentration 4 is about balancing. For This subject stones in black and white balancing. I call it the yin yang. I chose this subject to do because i got inspired when I saw the rocks on by the beach and I see kids balancing it, and i made it black and white because the black means steps and the white means the support. For materials, I used foam cubes and foam cube leftovers, paint, glue and a metal wire to make it all connect.

I used a variety of techniques and methods including: structuring, color blocking, carving. While creating this work, I paid close attention to to how to make the scraps more like rocks and stones. And using black and white with a pattern to paint. Structuring it to make it stand p and balance like real stones by using the wires.

To add interest to my composition, I painted the base and the middle stone and the top stone white impire by the quotes about success, like life needs a base and support to get to the top. In the process, I had trouble painting it and letting it dry and the decision to paint a color. But at last I chose to make it black and white and like ying yang like balance.
