Stars and Stripes

This is my star and stripe project. The subject is about a dead arm and a alive arm holding to a mercedes benz logo star. I chose to create this specific work because we are supposed to make red and blue and stars and stripes. The meaning is showing that in the society, people always wants luxury and thats what all they think of.

I used a variety of techniques and methods including: Outlining, after I use the pencil to sketch around the white paint as a base. I paint it over the base and outline the rough ends. While creating this work, I paid close attention to the angles of the star and the color ways, making sure that it pops out and not in a odd way.

To add interest to my composition, I used popart style. I like the way it looks so focus in the star, and details of the hands. However, I struggled with the skeleton hands at first but I learn quickly on the website and by the teachers model, I created the most cleanest skeleton hand.
