Have you ever seen the NBA awards occur on live television? Well, you still have a chance to watch the 2026 NBA awards during these playoffs. The NBA awards started on April 11, but you still have a chance to watch it as it's still going on until somewhere around the middle of May.
There have been multiple amazing DPOYs (Defensive Player of the Year), but this year the NBA decided that Victor Wembanyama was the guy to win it. Wemby has been in many conversations, but with his 7’4” height and 8’0” wingspan, the Defensive Player of the Year award was his. Wemby averaged 3.1 blocks, 1.0 steals, and 11.5 rebounds, showing why he deserved it. All those reasons are good, and he is arguably the best on the Spurs as of today. Wemby has been a contender for DPOY many times in his career already. This is just the cherry on top.

Multiple ROTY (rookie of the year) awards have been given over the years, but could you say Cooper Flagg is one of the best? Cooper has been projected to be the ROTY since the first day of the NBA season. Cooper averaged 21.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game in the regular season. The ROTY award was hard to pick, speaking of how the contestants were playing really well, like Kon Knueppel, VJ Edgecombe, and Dylan Harper were all running for the ROTY award. So with that being said, would you say he could be the best to do it?
The MVP (most valuable player) award is considered the most important of all the awards. No one has been named MVP yet, but there are some candidates who have been looked at by the NBA. The candidates for the MVP award are Nikola Jokić, Victor Wembanyama, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Although the MVP from last year, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, is looking to get it again, we will have to wait. Everybody is rooting for different people, but who do you think will win it?

A lot of the awards this year have been pretty accurate and are still looking to stay that way. All the awards given so far have been crazy, and fans can't wait to keep watching. All the awards that have been given this year are crazy, but who do you think the MVP will end up being?
