Cooper Flagg is one of the best rookies for this NBA season and has the potential to be a superstar. The Mavericks are one of the best teams right now, aside from losing Anthony Davis, because of one main asset from the rookie class. It's Cooper Flagg, the person everyone thought was gonna turn out to be a superstar, but will that turn out to be true?
Cooper Flagg has had a crazy backstory, going from high school all the way to the NBA. High school was his starting point as he went to Nokomis Regional in Newport, Maine. Later, he moved to Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida. When he was done with high school, he committed to Duke. Which everyone thought was a shock, considering the fact that he was a great high school commit.

When he got to duke everyone was expecting greatness from the start. It took a little time, but he exceeded everyone's expectations when he got used to it. Year after year, he was getting people's attention really fast. Cooper said, "I'm not focused on being compared to anyone else. I want to create my own path, my own legacy". After a few years, everyone knew that Duke was the right place for Cooper to go. Cooper's last year at Duke was special, and he was playing great, and everyone just knew that he was going to be an upcoming superstar!
Cooper Flagg entered the draft and was drafted 1st overall to the Dallas Mavericks! He started his rookie season off with an amazing start to the season with his NBA debut on 2025 October 22. With the amount of games he's played, his stats are pretty impressive. He is averaging 20.4 assists, 4.4 fg%, 48.5 3p%, 29.8 ft%, 80.4 rebounds, 6.6. The 19-year-old has already broken so many records, and many more are to come. Cooper said, "If you're the best player in the gym, then you need to find a new gym".Cooper Flagg has already been amazing, and people can't wait for him to grow older and get a lot better.

Overall, Cooper Flagg has had a great rookie year so far. He had a lot of pressure coming off the first overall pick, and starting and showing what he can do is amazing. People can't wait for him to get better and show that he belongs in the NBA. Cooper Flagg has only started his career, is already looking amazing, and is ready to get better each year.
