Have you ever experienced your mouth watering because of a food you saw? This is what happens when you see food from Bru Burger. Today we will be diving in to see what is behind the counter at Bru Burger.
The inspiration for Bru Burger (Pronounced Brew Burger) came from Mike Cunningham, who owns 44 restaurants across Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana. He wanted a mix of comfort food and craft beer. He wanted things that you wouldn’t see or eat at other places. They have a plethora of things on their menu, which we will get back to later. Bru Burger opened in December 2011 and took off from there. They just opened up their 17th location in Greenwood, Indiana. Every time Cunningham opened a restaurant, he saw a new concept for the next one. It was concept on concept until Bru Burger gained popularity and is now one of the best burger places in Bloomington, with their double bacon burger, according to The Indiana Daily Student and Reader's Digest.
Some things on the menu include the Bison Burger, the Black Bean Burger, the Impossible Burger, as well as fresh salads and appetizers. A few of the most popular dishes are their appetizer pretzel with beer cheese, their Double Bacon Cheeseburger, and their Gorgonberry salad, which includes gorgonzola cheese and cranberries. They also have Southern fried chicken with Nashville hot dry rub on it with mayo and lettuce.
To keep a productive workflow and environment to make sure all of these dishes can get out to all the guests, they have to talk to one another and treat each other with respect. They also want to be aware of everyone’s needs, and that doesn’t just include their employees; that also means they have to treat their guests with respect.
Cunningham has said about his restaurants, “In the communities we serve, we will be the restaurant of choice for delighting our guests.” They have to listen to each other when someone has a problem or a suggestion on how to make Bru Burger better. Sarah Perrus, a manager at Bru Burger, says, “You have to hire the right staff and treat them with respect. We work as one team, so nobody’s better than anyone else. If part of the kitchen is going down, then managers would jump in and help. You never let a section fail.”
In conclusion, Bru Burger is an amazing restaurant that keeps thriving in Bloomington day by day. Bru Burger certainly lives up to Mike Cunningham’s mission of treating everyone with respect and providing everyone with good food, but even more, a good memory.
