The NFL is kicking off the season with a great start! From great to not doing good plays, the NFL is up and running, ready to start this amazing 2025-2026 season. There are not only many great new plays but also new players too! Many might be undecided which team they might want to root for this year, but the first week's highlights are sure to make you pick!
Now we have some opinions on what people think about this game. Mathew Dibbern, a 7th grader at Edgewood Junior High, says, “My favorite game to watch was definitely the Bills and Ravens.” He also says the biggest shocker was the Packers vs the Lions game, with the Packers winning 27 - 13. Recently, the Colts have won a very well-played game against the Dolphins. Jude Edmonds, an 8th grader at EJHS, said, “The Colts surprised me because they were just bad and then they actually won, and the most embarrassing loss was definitely the Dolphins!”
There are many different opinions about the closest game, physically and mentally, but it was the game between the Ravens and the Bills. In the fourth quarter, with the Bills down by 15 points and 8:37 left, they scored and ended the game with a win. The statistics have shown that the Bills' chances of winning were a 1.1% chance, and that comeback was huge, scoring 16 points in 8 minutes. Another game was quite close, the Steelers and the Jets, with the Steelers winning by 2 points and then making a comeback. This game is surely one you need to talk about. Also, there are the Buccaneers and Falcons
The top highlights of the 2025-2026 season of week 1 are Aaron Rodgers's opening drive touchdown for the Steelers and Garrett Wilson's touchdown down in the deep. A rookie for the Cardinals, Marvin Harrison Jr., made an amazing catch and ran the ball down the field for a big gain. These were some of the top plays of the first week, and they will just keep getting better and better.
With the season continuing and teams getting better, there will be many more highlights that will come. Whether it’s from the Broncos to the Bills, many more great plays will come. In conclusion, many more plays will happen in the 2025-2026 NFL season.
