Servings: 1-1/3 c.
Ingredients:
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. water
1/3 c. prot wine
1/2 t. grated orange rind
1/3 c. orange juice
1/4 c. brown sugar (packed)
1 T. cornstarch
Dash salt; dash allspice
Procedure:
Rinse raisins. Add water, port, rind and juice. (Note, I usually skip the rind, since I use juice from a carton.) Blend sugar, cornstarch, salt, and allspice in a separate small bowl, then stir into orange mixture. Cook, stirring, until clear and thickened.
