Anise Cookies

Oven 350°

Servings: lots of cookies

Ingredients:

1-1/2 c. sugar

1/2 c. butter, soft (or other shortening)

1 t. anise seeds

1 c. sour cream

4+ c flour

1 t. baking soda

2 t. baking powder

Procedure:

Cream the soft butter and sugar together. Add the sour cream. Mix well. Sift the flour and baking soda and baking powder together. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Add the nise seeds. Refrigerate the dough overnight. Preheat oven. Roll out and cut into shapes. Bake at 350°.

Nice when frosted---we like butter cream frosting.
