Description of the Artifact:
This artifact was created in my reading methods course. It is a classroom specifically designed for a reading class in an elementary school. It includes several reading areas for the students, as well as access to many reading materials.
Rationale:
This artifact demonstrates the creation of a learning environment because it is organized specifically for students to succeed in reading. By organizing a place for students to read and have access to literary materials, it motivates them to interact with each other, engage in reading, and motivates them to read more. If students are in a print rich environment, they are more likely to succeed in their reading and language arts courses.
